Bioinformatics Institute

The Bioinformatics Institute (BII), funded by the Biomedical Research Council of Singapore's Agency for Science and Technology Research (A*STAR), was set up in July 2001 to foster and conduct leading-edge informatics R&D, provide quality training, and generate knowledge from large diverse volumes of data to meet the evolving needs of the scientific community.

Institute for High Performance Computing

The Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) was established in April 1998. As one of the Research Institutes supported by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), IHPC promotes and spearheads scientific advances and technological innovations through computational modeling, simulation and visualization methodologies and tools.

National Grid Office

The National Grid Office (NGO) was established with the mission to facilitate the seamless use of an integrated cyber-infrastructure in a secure, effective, and efficient manner to advance scientific, engineering, and biomedical R&D, with the longer term goal of transforming the Singapore economy using grid computing.
