Gelato (IP)² Award

Award Information

The Gelato Award for Innovative Projects for Itanium Processors—the Gelato (IP)² Award—recognizes projects presented at Gelato ICE: Itanium® Conference & Expo that have been identified as having a potentially great impact on the Itanium-based platform.

The benefits for a winner are:

  • Recognition by a panel of international Itanium processor experts and representatives from leading industries in the Itanium processor market
  • Announcement at Gelato ICE to all attendees
  • Mention in a post-conference press release
  • Special identification in the Gelato ICE program brochure

Award Candidate

A Gelato (IP)² Award Candidate is a project that will be presented at Gelato ICE. When a project is presented for the first time at Gelato ICE, this project is automatically an Award Candidate.

With a repeat presentation of the same project at Gelato ICE, the project needs to be resubmitted to the award process. To resubmit, the speaker or speakers of the presentation will have to show how this project has significantly changed since its last presentation. The Gelato (IP)² Review Committee will determine whether or not this project can become an Award Candidate based on this information.

A project cannot be an Award Candidate if one of the members of the Review Committee is involved with the project.

Award Review Committee

The Gelato (IP)² Review Committee will be the Gelato ICE Program Committee plus one representative from the media. We thank Michael Feldman, editor of HPCwire, for participating on the Award Review Committee for this conference.
